Automate the boring stuff with python for a beginner? - randomguy - May-11-2019

My goal with python is to be able to make bots, web scrapers, automate tasks, deal with data etc. It sounds like something that this book would cover.

I've started with yt, and while I learned some of the very basics, I find the videos to be very dry and lack a certain goal with python. This book seems to have a goal, which is to teach you python and get you started with making web based scripts, which is exactly what i want.

So is this for a beginner? Is it a good book? What do you like about it and why would you recommend it (or not)? Thank you.

It is more a intermediate book.

First five or six chapters are for total beginners. After that, there is one chapter for web scraping. It looks like beginner stuff to me.
